Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Keystone Athens Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it. When you browse the site, send us a request, call (706) 395-0746 or accept an estimate, you agree to these terms.
If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. You can still call or reach us through the contact page with questions before you decide.
What we do
We're a masonry contractor in Athens, GA, and we also work in the cities around it. Our work includes brick, block, stone and concrete work such as repairs, pointing, walls, walkways, pavers, chimneys and fireplaces, as described on our home page and service pages.
The pages on this site explain our work in general terms so you know what to expect. They aren't a promise that a given method, material or result fits your house, because that depends on what we find when we look at the job in person.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, so it reflects that day's conditions and the scope we talked through with you.
Masonry often hides problems until it's opened up, like loose brick behind sound-looking mortar or a weak base under old concrete. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you and agree on any change in scope or price with you before we do the extra work.
Prices are good for the period stated on your estimate. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update the figure before we schedule.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date once you accept the estimate, and we do our best to keep it. Rain, freezing temperatures and wet ground can stop mortar and concrete work, so we may move a date when the weather won't let the work cure properly, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, your written estimate or agreement sets out what you'd owe for those costs.
Payment
Your written estimate or agreement states the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Please pay by the dates it shows, because we schedule crews and order materials based on that plan.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. Materials and work stay our responsibility until the job is paid in full, as far as Georgia law allows.
Our guarantee and its limits
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we did isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our work.
That guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as settling ground, water from gutters or plumbing, tree roots, vehicles, storms, or changes someone else makes to the work. Masonry and concrete also crack a little and change color with weather, and those normal changes aren't defects.
Outside the guarantee and anything written into your agreement, our work and this website are provided as they are, without other promises, as far as the law allows. Information on the site is general and may not match your exact situation.
Limits on our liability
We're fully licensed and insured, and we take responsibility for our own work. Beyond that, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or costs from delays caused by weather or conditions we couldn't see.
Where the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits any right you have that Georgia law says can't be limited.
If we disagree
Most problems get solved fastest with a phone call, so please call us first and let us come out and look. If that doesn't settle it, we're both willing to try mediation with a neutral person before going to court.
If a dispute still isn't resolved, it will be heard in the courts of Georgia.
Georgia law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, where our business is based.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes don't alter an agreement you've already signed with us for a job.
If you have a question about these terms, you can learn more about us on our About page or reach us through the contact page.
